My name is Annette. I am first and foremost a wife to my husband Matt* and a mom to our four kids. I came into my journey of recovery through our 21-year-old daughter, Hallah*. Her addiction issues ushered me into a world of learning new behaviors and coping skills because what I had been using previously wasn’t working. However, being an adult child of alcoholic parents I could have begun my journey many years ago for my own reasons. I am also an in-home caregiver specializing in Alzheimer and Hospice care. In past years I have home schooled my kids and been a self-employed hairdresser. I love to read, be outdoors, visit with friends and family, and keep a journal of my thoughts…in case I lose them one day. You can read more of my thoughts at my personal blog, found at http://journeyofrecoverysearchforserenity.blogspot.com/. * names have been changed.
